![]() Here's some bad screenshots of the catalog: Legend has it they were fantastic quality guitars which went through a phase of having BC Rico on the headstock, later to become BC Rich (it's the logo saying Rico or Rich down the headstock). in 1983 the BC Rico import line got renamed to the NJ Series, you can look at pre-83 catalogs and see the old import line. ![]() It was a bolt-on, MIJ, bright white and a lot of fun to play. ![]() I had the opportunity to play an 80s NJ Warlock and I loved it. ![]() There's about 4 different types of guitar called an NJ Mockingbird - some are neck-thru, others are bolt-on, some have kahlers and some have tune o matics, some have rosewood and some have ebony.įrom what i've learned they were made in Japan and had Gotoh hardware (what you find on ESP guitars), occasionally DiMarzio humbuckers were stock but mostly they're Gotoh-made humbuckers and are the general nasally 80s high-output things that people were doing back then. BCR seemed to have a lot of guitars in the NJ series with very similar names.
